Directions from the M5

• Exit the M5 at junction 11a
• Head East on the A417 labelled Cirencester and Oxford for approx. 3.3 miles
• At the roundabout at the top of the hill, marked by the Air Balloon Pub, take the first exit following the A436.
• After 2.2 miles, you will reach a double roundabout. Continue on the A436, turning left (first-exit) at the first roundabout and right (second-exit) at the second roundabout. 
• After 2.5 miles, turn right onto a road labelled Hilcot. N.B. If you reach the Kilkenny Pub on the left-hand-side, you have gone too far.
• This will take you onto a single-track road with a steep downhill slope. After 1.18 miles, the slope levels out and you will see a right hand fork signposted 'The Gloucestershire Way and Public Bridleway'. Also on the right, you will see a five-bar gate, set back about 15 metres from the road.
• Take the track through the gate labelled 'Needlehole Forge' and 'No Unauthorised Vehicles'. We are 0.8 miles down this track.
