Directions from the A40 heading into Cheltenham

• Follow the A40 signposted towards Cheltenham

• Shortly after driving along the Northleach Bypass on the A40, you will pass the Puesdown Inn on your right and then after 1.9 miles, you will come to a dual-carriageway. Continue until you reach a set of traffic lights. Take the left-hand filter lane sign-posted onto the A436.

• Continue for 1.7 miles and then take the left turn signposted Hilcot, just after you pass the Kilkenny Inn on your right.

• This will take you onto a single-track road with a steep downhill slope. After 1.18 miles, the slope levels out and you will see a right hand fork signposted 'The Gloucestershire Way and Public Bridleway'. On the right, you will see a five-bar gate, set back about 15 metres from the road.

• Take the track through the gate labelled 'Needlehole' and 'No Unauthorised Vehicles'. We are 0.8 miles down this track.
